Tchibo introduces new SmartPhone package

German coffee shop chain Tchibo’s MVNO Tchibo Mobil has announced a new SmartPhone package. The package includes 50 SMS, 50 call minutes and 300 MB of mobile data. It is available for EUR 9.95 per month. During the first month, Tchibo will drop the monthly connection fee. There is no minimum duration of contract. The Tchibo Sim card can be found on the Tchibo website or in one of the company’s shops.
Beeline launches new prepaid tariff in Moscow

Russian mobile operator Vimpelcom, working under the Beeline brand, has introduced its new Go! prepaid tariff in the Moscow region. The ‘Superdiscount’ option is available for all tariff subscribers, which provides a special rate for local calls and the whole spectrum of VAS-services. The option costs RUB 11 per day. The first minute of a local call to a mobile network costs RUB 2.75, with subsequent minutes at RUB 1. The option also supplies 2 GB worth of mobile internet traffic, as well as 3,000 local SMS and 3,000 MMS to the networks of all Russian operators. Vimplemcom is also offering unlimited internet services at the discount rate of RUB 7 per day.
T-Mobile USA introduces Prism SmartPhone

T-Mobile USA has introduced the T-Mobile Prism SmartPhone. The T-Mobile Prism will be available to T-Mobile customers through flexible pricing options, including no annual contract paired with a T-Mobile Monthly 4G plan or paired with a two-year T-Mobile Classic or Value plan. Powered by Android 2.3 Gingerbread and featuring a 3.5-inch HVGA touch screen, the new 3G SmartPhone enables T-Mobile customers to surf the web, access social networking sites and download applications from Google Play. The T-Mobile Prism also features 3.2-megapixel camera with digital zoom and video recorder. The T-Mobile Prism is expected to be available at Best Buy starting 6 May, at Walmart starting 9 May and available nationwide at T-Mobile retail stores, online at the T-Mobile website, and at select dealers beginning 23 May. The T-Mobile Prism is expected to cost USD 19.99 after a USD 50 mail-in-rebate card with a two-year service agreement and qualifying Classic voice and data plan or USD 149.99 via no annual contract.
Cell C starts promotion for prepaid subscribers

South Africa operator Cell C has introduced Supa-Woza promotion, which offers prepaid customers a 50 percent bonus to call any network at any time if they recharge with ZAR 10 or more in a day. For example if prepaid customers recharge with ZAR 50 they will receive bonus airtime of ZAR 25 on top of their ZAR 50 airtime. The bonus airtime will be used before the recharged amount and will be valid for seven days. The expiry date of the bonus minutes can be extended by another seven days if customers recharge again with ZAR 10 or more. The promotion will end on 31 July.
3 Denmark adds new subscription plans

3 Denmark has introduced 3Basis and 3Fordel, two new lines of subscription plans. Both subscriptions are available in four variants. With 3Basis, customers get between 3 and 50 hours of talk-time, between 2 and 10 GB, unlimited on-net calls, SMS and MMS at no extra cost, and no call charges, all at monthly fees ranging between DKK 129 and DKK 379 per month. With 3Fordel, customers get the same services as with 3 Basis but pay between DKK 199 and DKK 449, as they also get a ’3Bonus’ with which they earn points for their next SmartPhone and ’3 Datadeling’ which offers 2 Sim cards at no extra cost for iPad and a portable computer.
