T-Mobile USA introduces Prism SmartPhone

T-Mobile USA has introduced the T-Mobile Prism SmartPhone. The T-Mobile Prism will be available to T-Mobile customers through flexible pricing options, including no annual contract paired with a T-Mobile Monthly 4G plan or paired with a two-year T-Mobile Classic or Value plan. Powered by Android 2.3 Gingerbread and featuring a 3.5-inch HVGA touch screen, the new 3G SmartPhone enables T-Mobile customers to surf the web, access social networking sites and download applications from Google Play. The T-Mobile Prism also features 3.2-megapixel camera with digital zoom and video recorder. The T-Mobile Prism is expected to be available at Best Buy starting 6 May, at Walmart starting 9 May and available nationwide at T-Mobile retail stores, online at the T-Mobile website, and at select dealers beginning 23 May. The T-Mobile Prism is expected to cost USD 19.99 after a USD 50 mail-in-rebate card with a two-year service agreement and qualifying Classic voice and data plan or USD 149.99 via no annual contract.

T-Mobile USA has announced the ‘Magenta Deal Days’ promotion, offering customers a guaranteed trade-in value of USD 50–200 when they exchange their old working phone and upgrade to a new T-Mobile 4G SmartPhone. The offer includes the Samsung Galaxy S II, the HTC Radar 4G and the HTC One S. In collaboration with The Wireless Source (TWS), a trained T-Mobile representative will determine the trade-in value of each device and provide a rebate card for the quoted amount. Customers can check the value of their device before going to a T-Mobile retail store by visiting T-Mobile’s mobile website. In-store, customers receive a voucher, prepaid shipping label and bubble pack mailer to ship the old phone to TWS. New customers will be eligible for this deal when they trade in their old SmartPhone and sign up for a qualifying T-Mobile Classic or Value plan with a two-year agreement. Existing customers also can avail of this offer if they are eligible for an early upgrade. Other new SmartPhones customers can trade-up to as part of the offer include the Nokia Lumia 710, Samsung Exhibit II 4G, Samsung Galaxy S Blaze 4G, T-Mobile myTouch 4G Slide, T-Mobile myTouchQ, T-Mobile myTouchT, BlackBerry Bold 9900 4G, LG DoublePlay, HTC Amaze 4G and HTC Sensation 4G. The promotion will be available at participating T-Mobile retail stores nationwide through 8 May.
Pelephone announces new plan

Israeli operator Pelephone has introduced a new subscription plan offering unlimited calls and SMS for ILS 149 per month. The plan also includes internet access and a free Galaxy Pro or Nokia C5 SmartPhone.
RIM lowers BlackBerry prices in India

Research in Motion (RIM) has lowered the prices of its handsets by more than 25 percent. While the price of the entry-level model Curve 8520 has been reduced by over 18 percent to INR 8,999 from INR 10,990, the price of the Torch 9860 has been reduced by over 26 percent to INR 21,990 from INR 29,990 earlier. The retail prices of the Curve 9380 and Curve 9360 have been lowered to INR 16,990 from INR 20,990 and INR 18,990 from INR 19,990 respectively. These four handsets comprise 60 percent of its business in India.
Orange Poland launches promotion on Sony SmartPhones

Orange Poland has announced a promotion on Sony Ericsson SmartPhones that will expire on 29 March. The offer is available to new and existing customers. Customers who extend their contracts or sign a new contract can buy the phones for PLN 3, offering a discount of up to PLN 1,176. With a chosen tariff and contract for 24 months customers can choose from four models. The Sony Ericsson Xperia with PlayStation is discounted by PLN 1,086 with data plan Panther II (PLN 89.90) or PLN 1,176 cheaper with calling plan Dolphin II (PLN 99.90). The Sony Ericsson Xperia arc S is reduced by PLN 606 with internet plan Panther II (PLN 69.90), and the Sony Ericsson Xperia neo V costs PLN 256 less with Dolphin II (PLN 59.90) or Pelican II (PLN 59.90). The Sony Ericsson txt is PLN 126 cheaper with Mix plan Dolphin II (PLN 29.90) or Pelican II (PLN 29.90) and reduced by PLN 96 for calling plan Dolphin II (PLN 29.90) or Pelican II (PLN 29.90). In addition, customers buying a new activation or contract extension may choose from tariff plans Dolphin II, Pelican II or Panther II (subscription or mix) and buy the smartphone Sony Xperia S from PLN 1, depending on the tariff plan chosen and duration of the contract.
